Archaeological
excavation involves the careful identification, scientific recording and removal
of all archaeological material from the area of impact of a development, aiming
to preserve this part of the archaeological resource through the creation of a
detailed record of what was found. All material recovered is assessed, analysed
and if necessary conserved, and all artefacts and records are eventually deposited
with the National Museum. Results are presented in a thorough report, and all
significant findings are published. A Method Statement for this whole process
is agreed in advance with the Statutory Authorities, and all works are governed
by a specific Licence issued to a qualified archaeologist by the Minister for
the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.
SURVEY
AND GRAPHICS
Arch-Tech understands that survey is an integral part of archaeological
fieldwork. Therefore we have a specialist department working in tandem with our
fieldwork teams thus reducing the time required to record the archaeological and
cultural heritage. Furthermore, computer-based illustrations ensure that any client
requirements can be produced quickly and cost-effectively. Post-survey,
our team produces CAD drawings of a high quality. We are committed to a process
where results from any archaeological investigation are presented in a clear and
professional manner. Our graphics department ensures that all results are illustrated
in a manner that befits their importance.
